Create, update, or delete an organization

Organization settings apply only to the organization currently active in the account menu. Your role determines which changes are available.

Create an organization

1. Open the account menu in the app sidebar.
2. Select Switch workspace.
3. Select Create organization, if available.
4. Enter an organization name between 2 and 50 characters.
5. Confirm the form.

The new organization becomes available under Switch workspace.

Before updating an organization

Switch to the organization you want to change. Then open Settings → Organization.

If the name or logo controls are disabled, your role does not allow organization updates.

Update the name

1. Find Organization name.
2. Enter the new display name.
3. Select Save changes.

The updated name is used throughout the app after the change completes.

Update the logo

1. Find Organization logo.
2. Choose or drop a JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP image that is 2 MB or smaller.
3. Save the change.

You can also remove the current logo from the same card.

Before deleting an organization

Deletion is permanent and is available only to an organization Owner. The page blocks deletion while it detects a subscription that must be resolved. A subscription scheduled to end may stop blocking deletion before its end date; follow the warning shown for the current organization.

Deleting an organization removes its settings and pending invitations. Its members lose access to the organization, but their user accounts remain.

Delete an organization

1. Open Settings → Organization for the correct organization.
2. Find Delete organization.
3. Enter the organization name exactly as shown.
4. Request the verification code.
5. Open the message sent to your email address.
6. Enter the 6-digit code and confirm the permanent deletion.

Troubleshooting

Create Organization is missing

Creating organizations is not available with every account setup.

The name or logo cannot be changed

Your role may not allow changes to organization settings. Ask an organization owner or administrator to make the change or review your role.

Delete Organization is missing

Only an organization Owner can see the deletion control.

The delete button is disabled

Check the warning above the button and resolve the subscription it identifies. If a cancellation is already scheduled, refresh the page and follow the current eligibility message.

The verification code is rejected

Make sure the code contains six digits and use the most recent message. Restart the deletion flow to request another code if necessary.
